If there was such an award as Multi Task Champion, it must surely go to Shannon who juggled the birth of two of her children while completing her law degree. No mean task but it was a sure sign that Shannon could prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, work under pressure and cope with stress – all the qualities needed to be successful at law.
In 2017, Shannon relocated to Motueka and had her third child. In 2018 Shannon began a position with the Motueka Riding for Disabled as Manager combining her love of horses and children. The opportunity to put her law degree into practice proved too tempting in June 2019 when Knapps offered Shannon a position in their Motueka Office. Shannon is now assisting our experienced Associate, Sara Clelland, learning everything possible about residential conveyancing.
Shannon is also taking every opportunity to expand her knowledge into other areas of law. In addition to property law, she would ideally like to end up specialising in senior law and relationship property law.
Shannon continues to balance the demands of working in a busy law firm, while raising her young family of three (2 girls and 1 boy) and looking after their small farmyard of horses, dogs, chickens and cats – as well as trying to squeeze in time for her love of reading books.
