Angeline Cousins(Richmond)

Registered Legal Executive

Estates Team

It’s not every day you have an ex-police officer from the Cape Town Police Force (Mounted Patrol Police) on the payroll but that is what we have with Angie!  Fortunately for us she chose to emigrate from South Africa to England in 1999.  Little did Angie realise but this move was to kick start a further move to New Zealand in 2007 and a complete change of career!

After 9 years in the UK, Angie settled in Nelson  with her husband and two boys. In 2017, armed with 10 years of legal experience Angie emigrated to our shores when she then obtained NZ Legal Executive Diploma.

Initially Angie spent a couple of years in our property team developing her expertise in residential conveyancing.  While she enjoyed the cut and thrust of tight deadlines and multiple files, the opportunity to move into the Estates Team and to upskill in a completely new area of law proved too tempting.

She is particularly passionate about Wills and hopes to be one of the firm’s leading specialists in time. Guiding clients through the process of buying or selling houses is of course at the opposite spectrum of guiding families through the distressing process of an estate but Angie believes her ‘life experiences’ give her a good set of skills to help people.

In her spare time, Angie loves the outdoors including fishing, walking and keeping fit (which largely includes running around after her youngest son and his sporting activities).
